Thought the A-list were all blessed with perfect bodies? Think again. Just like us, they have to work at staying in shape. But forget sweating it out in the gym day after day, these fitness-conscious celebs know how to shake things up and make their daily routines a little more interesting. Surfing, hula hooping, pole dancing, anyone?Celebrity boot camp
After splitting with Justin Timberlake in 2007, Cameron turned her attentions to toning her body. She hit the waves and took private surf classes with sexy pro-surfer, Kelly Slater. Now that's got to beat going to the gym.
As a personal trainer, it's hardly surprising Carly has a washboard stomach and a body to die for. But she puts her enviable figure down to sweating it out in Bikram Yoga sessions. This involves doing 26 intense poses in stifling 41 degree heat. The pay-off is good though – it can burn up to 600 calories an hour.
Fitness junkie, Gwynnie, who shares a personal trainer with Madonna, reportedly starts her yoga routine at 4.30 each morning. She says "I'm really not a morning person at all, it's just sheer determination. I'm very strict with myself. When I practice six days a week and eat clean food, I feel much better."
After attending a pole dancing class Kate became immediately hooked. She told the Daily Star that the exercise had "drastically" changed her body. It's even rumoured she has had a pole installed in her bathroom.
Shapely Kelly has taken to working out with a giant rubber band. No, she hasn't gone mad, she is a convert to new fitness trend, JAKARI Fit to Flex, a workout which involves a mixture of yoga Pilates and dance using a large wide rubber band as resistence. It claims to tone and sculpt the body and increase flexibility and suppleness.
"I hate working out but I love jumping rope," Ms Perry revealed. Apparently she can jump for 30 minutes without stopping. "There's a rhythm – it's like dancing. I can double jump, cross. I can do all of it."
The super-slim Charlie's Angel ditched her treadmill and weights sessions at the gym in favour of stretching three times a day and mini Pilates sessions. She says, "I think women get too bulky with weights, and the treadmill is so boring. Stretching your muscles elongates them and over time, your body changes for the best."
'Bionic body' Madge's daily workout includes three hours of high-intensity ashtanga yoga, Pilates, swimming or karate, weight training and either running, cycling or horse riding. She even uses a step machine in her office when she's taking phone calls. Addicted, me?
In October last year, the First Lady of hula-hooping was seen gyrating with a plastic ring on the White House lawn. She managed an impressive 142 swivels before the hoop hit the ground. No wonder Barack said his wife was "the best hula-hooper I know".
Posh is reportedly hooked on the new LA celeb exercise fad Yogalosophy, which combines toning exercise with yoga poses. A source close to the star told Heat magazine: "She bought the Yogalosophy DVD and does her workout at home up to four times a week to 'align her mind and spirit'. She's really starting to notice the difference."

See all the sad people on here again with their sales links. Best way to stay fit is eat healthy and get on your push bike . To me most the celebs look ill due to starving them selfs to near death. A size 12 to 14 is a loverly figure for any women at the right hieght

It's interesting that one comment above (or advertisement, I should say), containing a website link, allows replies, but the other one doesn't. Do they actually permit some advertising links to be listed as comments - and with no replies allowed? Surely there shouldn't be any links at all on a comments board like this.

I know AOL (and others) can't grasp the fact that just because someone is photographed, doesn't make them a 'celeb' but it's true!
How is the American Presidents wife a 'celeb'? Does that mean our Queen is a 'celeb'? Or was Churchill? What about Thomas Eddison? Or Charles Darwin? What about Marie Curie, or Brunel? Are they all 'celebs'? After all, they're people who have actually contributed to our everyday lives..not some vacuous, nobody who simply fills the space that is AOL.

Well, they all look OK, except perhaps Madonna, so, if all young people aspired to have this sort of figure instead of that of those stick insects on the catwalk, some good could come from it.. John Wilson
