Many of us will have tried (and failed) to find an anti-wrinkle cream that actually works and for some there remains only one option – Botox. But if you just can't face the pain of injections, there is a new face-freezing miracle in town and the good news is that it comes in a bottle.
Cheryl Cole, Kate Moss and Victoria Beckham are all said to be fans of Rodial's Glamoxy Snake Serum and consumers will no doubt be rushing to get their hands on their very own £125 bottle.
So why the Botox reference?
Well, the cream has been dubbed "Botox in a bottle" because it mimics the effect of snake venom and freezes the muscles.
Trials have revealed that wrinkles are less noticeable after just 90 seconds and a month of using the cream and you could see a 52 per cent reduction in those pesky fine lines.
Mind you, getting hold of a bottle could be trickier than you think. According to the Daily Mail, UK advance orders are already up to 100,000 so queues seem inevitable when the serum hits SpaceNK, Harrods, Harvey Nichols and Selfridges.
Rodial president Maria Hatzistefanis said yesterday: "There is no other product in the market right now with such amazing and instant results, it's simply the best.
"Glamoxy is far safer than Botox because Syn-ake is a small neuropeptide that mimics the effect of a temple viper snake, and it is not invasive like a Botox injection.
"One to two pumps a day will last on the skin for eight hours if applied twice a day, morning and evening under your moisturiser."
However, though £125 might seem on the pricey side, it is not advisable to seek the real venom as an alternative.
