We're well aware of the current trend for the conical bra and we're even aware of the recent catwalk trend for bras as outerwear.But if it's the celebrity look you're after then it seems underwear-as-eveningwear is the latest style statement of choice.
The A-listers were out in force as Prada launched its new book but there must have been more than a few eyebrows raised as lingerie and midriffs made an appearance on more than one occasion.
Actress Chloe Sevigny, well known for eccentric taste in fashion, arrived wearing a taupe bra with plunging, open grey top and a high-waisted pink skirt.
Those who assumed that some kind of wardrobe malfunction had occurred must have taken a second look, though, when Pirates of the Carribean star Zoe Saldana turned out with her dusky pink bra on show between the gaping front of her turquoise blouse and an equally high-waisted burgundy skirt.
Others were more conservative. Both Jessicas Alba and Biel opted for classic black while Christina Ricci, who has been regularly snapped looking stylish and classy of late, wore a prom style dress, though Walk the Line actress, Ginnifer Goodwin's attempt at prom chic was arguably less successful.
But understandably it was Chloe and Zoe that got the cameras flashing. We're guessing you'll need a similarly toned and slender figure to pull off this brave style move.
