When Cheryl Cole stepped onto the X Factor stage wearing a dress that incorporated metal tubing, it seemed unlikely that there would be any further sightings of the dress. But Beyoncé showed what curves could do for the design when she accepted the first of three awards, for Best Song, at the MTV bash in Berlin last night.
Where Cheryl's outfit was described by some as resembling bin lids or wheel trims, Beyoncé's David Koma designed dress cut a considerably more flattering figure.
Though not quite up to the many guises of Katy Perry, who hosted the ceremony, Beyoncé managed a fair few changes herself.
Arriving in a full-length pink evening gown, her performance of single Sweet Dreams saw a dramatic change into red corset, stockings and satin gloves.
She later donned a black and gold mini-dress to collect a further two awards for Best Female and Best Video, making a hat-trick on the night.
But as raunchy as the red basque was, it was the little black dress with the metallic detail that had everybody talking.
See more stars snapped in the same frock...
