Stepping into the shoes of Milla Jovovich, Lizzie Jagger and, more recently, Penelope Cruz as the face of Mango could well have been daunting for Scarlett Johansson.

But the latest images, promoting the Spanish fashion chain's latest collection, show Scarlett could well turn out to be their biggest hit.

Once again, Johansson displays the much talked about peroxide blonde hair and this time, she's taken smouldering to a whole new level.

Famed photographer Mario Sorrenti can be credited with the stunning images, where stark graffiti-covered walls and Scarlett's distinctly punk-rock attitude show Mango's latest creations to full effect.

Though she was dressed more demurely (still in Mango obviously) at the launch of the collection earlier this week, the smokey eyes and pink lipstick of the campaign compliment the new Eighties-inspired line perfectly.

As a Mango spokesperson told the Daily Mail: "She is an extraordinary personality, fun, young. She's Mango's ideal urban woman, independent and cosmopolitan.

Where leopard-print was key to her first shoot, Mango's new line is an altogether more sombre and moody affair, with dark blues, black and grey the order of the day.

And with curves to die for, Scarlett is fast becoming one of our favourite celebrity models.
